Rancho Magante
In 2009, Henry Mensen founded Rancho Magante. A property nestled by rolling hills and green lush jungle. The property extends from the Atlantic Ocean into the beauty of the mountians in Espaillat province of Dominican Republic.
This magical estate covers more than 2,000 acres of wild land and you can find at least 7 fresh water streams born inside the property. Its magnificent beauty is a perfect place to heal, retreat and restore.
Thousands of birds fly over the property daily as there are designated sanctuaries for them. In the same way, humpback whales make their yearly pilgrimage from the North Atlantic to these warm Caribbean waters.
The farm embodies sustainable, holistic products.
With gardens and orchards organically kept, our restaurant serves unique garden to table experiences with fresh fish and organic local meats.
Our main production is cacao, which becomes chocolate in our artesian shop. We also grow coconut, almond, and other tropical fruits, as well as baby greens. We keep bees and we aim to be examples of nature preservation.
At Rancho Magante, we believe the best healing practices are the connection we establish with food and mother earth, as well as body care through movement, action, meditation and contemplation.
Our biggest legacy is Mensen Academy and all the programs that aim to teach our communities to live in harmony with nature and work toward sustainability.
